Apple TV: Shows, Movies & More

Streaming and viewing in one app

Apple TV: Shows, Movies & More is an entertainment app for watching Apple Originals, films, television shows and selected live sports. It suits viewers who prefer a focused catalogue of high-profile productions rather than a service built around the largest possible number of titles. The app is developed by Apple and has more than 100,000,000 installs.

What you can watch

The service includes Apple-produced series and films, along with access to live sports such as MLS matches, Formula 1 coverage and Friday Night Baseball. Its catalogue combines subscription content with films and other titles that may be available through the wider Apple TV storefront, so the viewing options can vary by programme and account.

• Apple Originals, including series and feature films
• Movies and television programmes in a single entertainment hub
• Selected live sports, including MLS, Formula 1 and Friday Night Baseball
• Recommendations and a continuing-watching area for returning to unfinished programmes

Interface and everyday use

The design puts prominent artwork and programme information at the centre of the screen, making it straightforward to browse by title or category. A continue-watching function helps people move between supported devices without having to search again for the programme they were viewing. The mix of included, rented and purchased content can require a closer look before starting a title.
