AR Drawing : Trace Anything

What AR Drawing : Trace Anything does

AR Drawing : Trace Anything is an Art & Design app from GeniusTools Labs for people who want help copying an image onto paper. The developer’s listing describes a camera-based drawing setup that places a selected image over the real-world view, giving users a reference to follow while sketching.

The app is suited to beginners, hobby artists and anyone practising outlines, proportions or line work. It can use images from the device and turn photographs into simpler outlines for tracing, according to the developer’s listing.

Drawing tools described by the developer

• Camera overlay: A chosen image can be positioned over the drawing surface as a visual guide.
• Image adjustment: The listing describes controls for changing the overlay’s transparency, along with image alignment and scale.
• Outline conversion: Photos can be simplified into traceable sketch lines.
• Progress recording: The drawing process can be captured as a time-lapse.

Who it may suit

This app is aimed at users who prefer a guided starting point rather than drawing entirely from memory. It may be useful for practising portraits, characters, anime-style illustrations and other image-based sketches. The physical drawing still takes place on paper or another surface; the phone provides the on-screen reference.
