ibis Paint X

Digital drawing for phones and tablets

ibis Paint X is a mobile drawing and illustration app for people who want more control than a basic sketchpad provides. It suits beginners building drawing habits, hobby artists creating finished illustrations, and manga or comic creators working on a touchscreen. The app is developed by ibis inc. and listed in the Art & Design category.

Tools for detailed artwork

The app combines a broad selection of brushes, pens, textures, stamps, and other materials with a layer-based workspace. Layers and blending options make it easier to separate line work, color, shading, and background elements. Manga-focused tools include frame dividers, screentones, and text controls, giving comic pages a more structured workflow.

Useful for learning and sharing

ibis Paint X can record the drawing process, allowing users to review how an image was made or share a time-lapse. Its social features also let artists view other people’s work and drawing processes, which can be useful when learning techniques or looking for ideas. The interface has many controls, so new users may need time to find the tools they use most often.

Popularity and listing details

The app has a 4.45 out of 5 rating from approximately 2.85 million reviews and more than 100 million installs. Those figures reflect broad use across different skill levels, from casual sketching to more involved digital art projects. Package name: jp.ne.ibis.ibispaintx.app.
